Dog Training Online
There is a lot of information on dog training on the internet. The question about the so called dog training online courses are if they are any good. Are they really worth the bucks? There's no simple answer to that. The main thing is: Do your home work before you sign up and pay for anything. Find testimonials about that particular school, see what the courses or education contains.
There are some basic themes a good course must have. You should get the basics of dog psychology. It can be incorporated in the course as such, but you need to know how your dogs psyche works. You should, of course, learn all the basics in training and commands, like sit, stay, walk with short leash, return on command and to lie down. You should also get different tips on how to train your dog both indoors and outside. It's important that your dogs gets stimulation both in the house as well as outdoors, and to know the basic obedience commands. I think that part of the program should teach you and your dog how you can leave it alone for a couple of ours without it chewing away every shoe or furniture you own.
You should also get a detailed schedule on the program you are paying for, so that you can plan your training with the dog and fit it in your daily schedule.
Another thing you can do is to do a search the course leader on the internet and see what information is already out there on her or him. Then you can find out more on his training history and career.
Depending how much you are paying, you can get online support during the course. I think this is very valuable, since it can be rather difficult sometimes to work on you own. If you can update with your trainer on a daily basis you will get more progress in your efforts.
